Professional Training
If the thought of standing in front of a crowded room of co-workers,
customers or investors makes you cringe with apprehension, you're
not alone. Even worse may be the prospect of staring into a camera
connected to a live feed on CNN or staring at a blinking phone line
knowing that an aggressive reporter is waiting for a response to
a half dozen voice mail messages. And what about all those emails
from shareholders? Not quite sure just how to compose your response?
We're not born communicators. Unfortunately it's a skill that is
often passed over in business school and rarely learned on the job.
By taking the time to learn some fundamental principals of working
with the news media and making an effective business presentation,
you can start to gain an edge. And maybe, just maybe, you'll look
forward to taking your place on stage and seeing your sound bite
on the evening news.
